One honeymoon date we can't miss! A day tour of Ancient Rome! An exciting journey through history and its legends, stories and anecdotes. With our guide we will begin at the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine, then take a leisurely stroll through the Roman Forum and the Imperial Fori to the Capitol Hill, ending up at the Pantheon, Hadrian's temple dedicated to all the pagan gods. What a great day!

After a romantic honeymoon dinner, we’ll experience Rome by night as we stroll to the unforgettable Trevi Fountain by the light of the stars! Then, we’ll move along to the Roman Pantheon built in 27 BC to sample the most praised ice cream in Italy and a nightcap at the Piazza Navona, considered the most beautiful square in Rome with its 3 Bernini fountains. We can’t wait!

Rome not only offers us a charming destination for our honeymoon but also gives us the chance to admire Bernini’s marble sculptures and Caravaggio’s chiaroscuro masterpieces! We’ll stroll along to “Turtle Lake” and rent a small rowboat to practice the Italian art of dolce far niente, the sweetness of doing nothing!

Many ancient culinary traditions and characteristics of Italy's distinct regional cuisines and traditional recipes are passed down from generation to generation. We will experience hands on instruction by our own professional Italian chef. It's true what they say, "Italians live to eat while the rest of the world eats to live."

Together, we’ll discover the heart of Rome as we gently cruise along the River Tiber! We’ll learn about the historical and architectural richness of our romantic honeymoon destination. That’s Amore!

Visiting south of Florence, we will stroll along the city's political heart flanked by the Palazzo Vecchio. Next, we will visit the town hall and the Uffizi Gallery, one of Italy's leading art galleries. We'll visit the church of the Santa Croce home to frescoes by Giotto and tombs of some of Florence's greatest men: Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo and Rossini and no visit would be complete without a tour of the Gallery of the Academy with the original masterpiece David by Michelangelo!

On this honeymoon trip we'll visit the charming hill town of Tivoli, less than an hour from the hustle and bustle of Rome, wander around Villa Adriana, a sprawling estate that includes theatres, baths, temples, fountains, and palaces before heading to Villa d'Este, renowned for its spectacular gardens, elaborate fountains and breathtaking views over the plain towards the Eternal City.

We will explore the quintessential wine region of Tuscany! We will learn about the history of the distinctive and historical wine making region of Italy while our expert guides will share their vast knowledge of wine, and more important, offer us a sampling of some of their favorites. Tuscany is not only famous for its wine but also its olive oil. We will taste some of the famous Crostini Toscano as we learn why extra virgin olive oil plays such an important role in Italian Cuisine.

We will take a romantic honeymoon drive along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to the hilltop town of Ravello, with a lovely Romanesque cathedral and the famous gardens of the Villa Rufalo. Then, we’ll be on our way to the picture perfect Sorrento to dine outdoors with spectacular views of the Italian Riviera and of course shopping!

With your lovely wedding gift, we’ll visit and see the natural and artistic beauty of the small medieval villages just outside Rome! Visiting Frascati, famous worldwide for its wine, we’ll sample the local product while admiring the scenery and the small charming villages. So much to see and enjoy on our honeymoon in Rome!

We will tour through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa. Together, we'll take the panoramic drive along the Arno embankments, visit the Piazza dei Miracoli famous for the celebrated Leaning Tower, and unequalled masterpieces of Romanesque art carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries. This will be a great honeymoon day!

No honeymoon would be complete, without a meeting with the Mona Lisa at the medieval fortress palace of the kings of France. The Louvre Palace bears witness to more than 800 years of history and priceless art work.

The Roman Highlights tour takes us to some of the most famous monuments in Rome! We’ll admire the Spanish Steps, Via Condotti, Piazza Navona, Parliament and Pantheon with your lovely wedding gift!

By day, flags of freshly strung laundry decorate the labyrinth alleyways of Travestere, but when the sun sets, this town comes to life! We’ll get to experience the upbeat and vibrant nightlife when young Romans take us to II Giardino dei Ciliegi for drinks, conversation and Italian table games!

No honeymoon in Rome will be complete without shopping on Via dei Cestari! We’ll take in the bustling atmosphere, often filled with nuns and priests window-shopping. It’s an offbeat look into the clerical world we won’t discover at the Vatican. It’s also the perfect place to stock up on nuns thermals, perfect for skiing, and to find local souvenirs to take home with us!

In Viterbo, the “Pope’s City,” we’ll luxuriate in the thermal springs! We’ll soak away our stresses and escape into relaxation while our soar muscles get the attention they need. A lovely wedding gift and a deserving treat for our bodies!
