Nakia Wheat & Marchello Banks

Our Story

Marchello & Nakia have known each other since they both were as young as 6 year of age. They meet in Detroit, MI on Hartwell. Marchello lived with his grandmother who stayed two doors down from Nakia's grandmother. As time progressed the two of them grew close. Marchello says he's loved Nakia since they were kids, and when Nakia went to Detroit one winter her grandmother said he was the man she was going to marry. Who knew 14 years later this would be coming true. Through time and distance the love between the two has brought them here to share the rest of their lives together.

Our Wedding

Be prepared for "A Chocolate affair." We will be having an evening wedding at the Sahara Hotel. Be ready for a different experience. Our job is to provide you with an experience you'll never forget. So we can't wait for you to be apart of this day with us. We look foward to seeing you there.

Our Reception

After the wedding there will be cocktails, cake, and good company. In lieu of a traditional reception we would everyone to join us for breakfast the following morning.

Travel Arrangements

We did not block off a group of rooms because the minimum was 20 rooms, I couldn't commit to that. Although I would prefer for my guest to stay at the Sahara, if you do not please let me know ahead of time so you won't miss out on the goodies for my hotel guest.

Some websites that give good rates on airfare would be: www.jetblue.com www.travelteanow.com. Also the Sahara hotel is having a special, if you book your room now you can receive 25% off your room if you book for two nights; or 30% for booking three nights. As I see deals I will update as well.

If you're looking for a show to see, Barry Manilo will be at the Hilton and Jay Leno at the Mirage. Both are performing Sat. and Sun.

Last but not least dress cool. It's 100 degree hot and humid!!!!!

Although you may be wondering why we have choosen Las Vegas to host our festivities....Neither one of us has been able to enjoy the life of Las Vegas. We look forward to enjoying this time together as we celebrate are new life together. We appreciate everyone for joining coming along this special journey.
